Creating Custom Fountain Fills

   

 

Create Rectangle
Choose the Rectangle Tool. Click and drag to create a rectangle of any size. Make sure the rectangle has no fill. Select the rectangle with the Pick Tool.

 

 

 

 

 

Choose Fountain Fill
Click on the Fill Tool in the Toolbox. Choose the second icon to open the Fountain Fill window. Choose any type of fountain fill in the Type drop-down selection box.

 

 

 

 

 

Choose Custom Option
Click on Custom in the Color Blend section of the window. The preview window that appears will be used for entering colors as well as previewing results.

 

 

 

 

 

Choose First Color
Click on the small white square at the left, to the left the Color Blend preview window to activate. Note how the square becomes black to indicate that it is active. Choose a color from the preset palette or choose Others to access the full range of CorelDraw color choices.

 

 

 

 

 

Choose Second Color
Click on the small white square at the right, to the left the Color Blend preview window to activate. Note how the square becomes black to indicate that it is active. Choose a color from the preset palette or choose Others to access the full range of CorelDraw color choices.

 

 

 

 

 

Add Color Position
Double click on the border to the left the Color Blend preview to set the position for a third color. A triangle will appear to indicate a point has been added. Note how the number in the Position dialog box has changed. You can set this point by entering a number in the Position dialog box as well.

 

 

 

 

 

Set Third Color
Select the color position triangle (make sure it is black, which indicates it is active). Choose a color as before. You can add multiple colors by repeating steps 6 and 7, and can click and drag position triangles to adjust color positions.
