Step 5-
Add Animation Embellishments

With the main movement established in the image, I decided to embellish the animation further. To do this, select each layer and modify it slightly, creating the movement.

In this case the flag was distorted in each of the layers to create a waving effect. I found that by using the smudge tool and just nudging the stripes in the flag slightly that I could get a sense of movement that was convincing without distracting from the main animation.

I also modified the man to the left of the train, making him move his arm up and down. I selected the arm and moved it down, cloning pixels over the hole as necessary using the rubber stamp.
