3D Studio MAX 3: In Depth. Sample Chapter | 12
|
Moving On
In this chapter, you worked through the core principles of 3D Studio MAX-principles that find their way into every corner of your work. You learned about the nature of a parametric object and how a parametric polygonal model can lose its parameteric nature by conversion into an Editable Mesh object. You worked through a series of exercises in which you built a modifier stack and rearranged it, using the modifier gizmos in the process. You also learned how instancing and referencing can be used to allow different objects to share all or part of their respective modifier stacks. Finally, you saw how all your work was reflected in TrackView.
In the next chapter, we'll focus on the many important improvements and new features in MAX 3.
