Step 3- Apply a Gaussian Blur Filter

The next step is to soften the hard edges of the lines we created. Using an airbrush tool to stroke the path made them soft to begin with, but you usually need to soften them further to make the effect feel right.

Choose Select All from the Select menu, and select Filter->Blur->Gaussian Blur. Set the Radius at 3.2 pixels, and click OK. The figure at left shows a close-up of the results.
