Plate Owner Registration About the Owner

Rob VanHooren

This plate is submitted courtesy of Rob VanHoore. As he says in his email, it pretty much says it all for a dyed-in-the-wool cisco geek eh? fits with my e-mail addr too ;-) His parting comment: "I don't have a *car* --I have a 400 horsepower cd-player" heh.

Suzi Sevcik

Registered in May 2000 attached to a 1995 Jeep Grand Cherokee. Special Edition Fire Fighter Plates.
Sevcik has worked in the computer/Internet industry since 1995 & I wanted a plate that reflected both my day job & my work as a volunteer Fire Fighter. FLAMYN was appropriate as I've been known to send some scathing emails. Incidentally, I've also had to compete with my brother - Christopher Knight...who has 2 of his plates listed here...Email It & Pentium.

Extensor

This plaste was first registered in 1996 for my 90 Mitsubishi Eclipse GXS Turbo. Submitted by "Extensor," this plate is the web address for his company Cyberfly Studios where we created the first hybrid print/net comicbook.

NetGal

*Net Gal (Virginia) was first registered to my 1996 chevy cavalier. Now it adorns my 2002 Honda Civic. Net Gal is a computer consultant under contract to the federal government.

Paul St. George

This plate was registered this year on my 1989 VW Fox. It was created to promote his career as webmaster and side-line business "Saintgeorge.com" while comuting up and down I10.

Erick Meline

This plate was first registered in 1996. This plate is from Chris Bura - Founder and CEO of Alldomains.com

xpatriot

First registered in May of 2001 by Jaeme Haviland. It's still on a 2000 Dodge Ram Wagon. This plate was created to promote Jaeme's website, Tales From Days On The Road. It works pretty well, since eventually people get extremely curious and ask him what it stands for! Among regular readers, the van and tag together have become something of an icon. (This is the second burgundy-colored van he's owned, but the first to carry the name.)

Jules

First registered in October of 2001, this plate is now adorning a 2001 Ford Escape.

Julie's plate was initially registered when she was doing web design and tech support for an ISP in North Carolina. After a layoff, she kept the plate, as she still does design work on a part time basis.

dletoile

Contributed by Dennis N. L'Etoile, this plate was issued in 2001. It was originally worn on a 2000 Xterra; now mounted on a 2002 Chrysler T&C minivan. Dennis's original Virginia tags were NET CRUZ, however, the VA Internet plate has a 6 character limit, so........NET CRZ was used. The choice was also governed by availability of domain name NETCRZ.COM. The plate name also happens to be his website.

Megan Conklin

Megan got this plate in early 1998 and let it lapse when she totalled that car in 2001.

Her license is up for renewal next month so she's going to try to either get this plate back or get another one. If #!PERL has been taken by someone else, she'll try for PORT 80 or maybe RM -RF / or if all else fails MORECORE (a common cry amongst developers for "more memory!")

Her husband owns COREDUMP (for people who don't know what this is, it's the result of a memory error in unix writes a file to disk containing the contents of memory at the time of the crash - this file is called a COREDUMP).

Brian Travis

Contributed by Brian Travis, this vanity plate resides on his 1994 Dodge Dakota.

Brian has been involved in the SGML and XML communities since 1985. My company, Architag International Corp does XML training all over the world. I've written a couple of books on XML and web services, so the license plate seems appropriate.

Bob Wright

This vanity plate was contributed by Bob Wright of Salem, OH. Bob Wright's company is Metal Master Fab. For more information, you can contact him at: https://tracksoverhead.com

Chris Prickett

First registered in 2002, this vanity plate was contributed by Chris Prickett in Northern Phoenix. Chris Prickett owns Landmark Home Inspection, LLC in Northern Phoenix. Tel. (623) 551-9511.The plate is a great martketing tool, because it is also his website address and it leads people to look at the back of his truck with his additional advertising.

Jon Klingler

First registered in 2002, this plate was contributed by Jon Klingler. Atari is Jon's username on most chat mediums. Also it's his email address. He owned several Atari computers up until a couple years ago when he sold his last one and is now running PC's and Macs.

William Brodie-Tyrrell

Registered to a 1994 SS Commodore in 2000, South Australia. William is a unix freak and this identifies him as such fairly unambiguously :). His motto is: "Moderation in all things, particularly moderation."

Simon Sigré

First registered on October 14, 2003, this plate was contributed by Simon Sigré.

Simon decided on this plate because it was available and secondly because it's sooo lame its cool! And only 1337 geeks will get it!

Jim Rudnick

First registered in 1999, this plate now adorns a new black Cadillac Deville DTS touring sedan. Jim got this plate in 1999, when he moved his firm to a small suburb as a break-away from Toronto. He loves driving around his car, say that " nothing is better than touring around with your own vanity WEB plate."

Mike Ryder

Registered in 2003 on a 01' Honda Accord SE. Mike owns both Windows and Mac computers, but only uses the Windows for gaming, everything else is done on the Mac.
