Packaging a Single-Class Namespace
Tips: May 2002

You create a namespace with the package statement. It combines one or more classes into a logical group called a namespace. The following example shows a simple package containing a class with a single field (President):

  package USA {
    class Head {
      static var President : String = "Bush";
    }
  };
Notice we defined President as static, meaning the President variable is set for the class itself, and will be known to all of its instances, created with the new Head operator.
