Consuming Web services that reside on a different domain than your own calling script is not allowed, unless you change your browser security setting. The option you need to be concerned with is Access data sources across domain. You need to set this option to Enable or Prompt. If you leave this option set to Disable, you'll get an error message saying that the service is not available. To set this option, go to the Tools menu and select Internet Options.... Choose the Security tab, and select the Internet icon in the top window. Click the Custom Level... button and go to the item Miscellaneous/Access data sources across domains. Mark the Enable or Prompt option. The following windows show this selection scenario:
