Object
object's method of toLocaleString()
. When the object consists of a number, like:
var myNum = new Number(35);
the toLocaleString()
method returns the string "35"
. When the object is user-defined, the method returns [object Object]
. The toLocaleString() prints its object according to your regional settings. Try it for the following Employee
object:
function Employee() {
this.bonus = 1.23587;
this.manager = "John Johnson";
}
function printProp() {
var Ken = new Employee();
alert(Ken.bonus.toLocaleString());
}
Notice how different is the alerted number from the one shown in the script above. This is due to the fact that your regional settings may be different from the default JavaScript settings.
