There are two methods to find a file's name and two methods to find a file's path. To find a file's name, use the Name or the ShortName properties. The only difference between them is that the ShortName property yields an all uppercase name. To find a file's path, use the Path or ShortPath properties. The only difference between them is that the ShortPath property yields an all uppercase name. Here is a script that prints all four properties:

<SCRIPT LANGUAGE="JavaScript">
<!--
  myActiveXObject = new ActiveXObject("Scripting.FileSystemObject");
  file = myActiveXObject.GetFile("f:\\yehuda\test.txt");
  alert("The file name is " + file.Name);
  alert("The file's short name is " + file.ShortName);
  alert("The path is " + file.Path);
  alert("The short path is " + file.ShortPath);
// -->
</SCRIPT>
