The toGMTString() Date object's method shows the current GMT (Greenwich Mean Time) date and time. The conversion is done according to the operating system's time zone offset, and returns a string value as follows:

Notice that on some computers you may need to adjust for Daylight Saving Time. To be sure, use this URL to find the current GMT and the time zones for 600 cities all over the world. If the GMT date above does not match with the GMT you find in the above link, you can change the local time to Standard Time Zone. The following script adds offset hours to the current time:

var offset = -1;
now = new Date();
hour = now.getHours();
now.setHours(hour + offset);
