Persistent Random Banners: A Final Word
Persistent Random Banners
A Final Word
In this column we introduced a new type of banner we call Persistent Random Banners. We explained the difference between these banners and previous types of banners we already introduced in our columns. The main difference is that the persistent random banner is determined upon loading of the page, and does not change as long as the page does not reload. We showed you how to control the frequency by which the message is changing: every day of the week, every day of the month, every hour of the day, or just every time the page reloads.
In this column you learned:
- How to embed the persistent random banner in a page
- How to select a message
- How to build the message feed
We also included the listings of our code and our message feed.
